Its been one year!
Almost one year of blogging and one year since hamoudy.com was launched! I bought the domain on Dec-7-03. Its been a lot of fun making the website and designing it. I think I might come up with a new design when I get some time on my hands. Blogging is been lots of fun. I love to speak my mind and I love to hear what other people have to say about different topics and arguments. Looking forward for the next year…

6 Months of Blogging

Posted by Mo | General, Personal, Thoughts, Website History | Tuesday 11 May 2004 8:02 am

It’s been 6 months since I started blogging. I never thought I would keep it up; I thought I would get bored and stop posting stuff. Since I get bored of things real easy; but not with blogging. I love sharing my thoughts and ideas and things that happen to me online. I also like hearing other people’s opinions on matters and things in life. That’s why I think I’m going to keep on blogging till I run out of things or thoughts to say. If you are interested in having your own weblog; I would highly recommend Wordpress. If you don’t know how to configure it and set it up; there’s always the help support at Wordpress. However; if you don’t feel like doing a lot of work then you can use the already made weblog which is called livejournal All you have to do is create an account and you should be all set to go and start blogging. If you ask me I’d say putting the time into a nice weblog is always worth it ;)

100 Posts

This is my 100 POST. Never underestimate the power of your mind. Writing posts is awesome; it stimulates the mind and make people think and share their thoughts. I love to hear what other people think about different things in life, about different topics and so on. Hamoudy.com has proven that everyone is entitled to his or her opinion and all are respected as is. It’s a free world, why not share your ideas and thougths. After all, we learn from each other and we advance in life based on other people’s knowledge and ours of course. So share the love people!

Intelligent Menu

Posted by Mo | Website History | Friday 7 May 2004 4:01 pm

I have added to my site, what they call it intelligent menu. Here’s how it works; when you click on one of the menu buttons it keeps it highlighted so the user will know where he or she is at; meaning what page the user is on. Thanks to PhotoMatt for the nice script.

An Example

I added a drop shadows to my site; specifically to the images. It gives them a nice nifty shadow. The shadow was created in photoshop. There is a nice article on how to do it at 1976designs. I’d recommend to check it out if your interested in making shadows to images. I put the “S” logo as an example.

I love this new tabbed menu, makes it easier to browse through it. Any suggestions are always welcomed.. Let me know if you guys like this menu.

Updates

Posted by Mo | Website History | Wednesday 28 January 2004 12:11 pm

I moved the archives from the main page into a separate page, in which they are sorted according to categories and by date. I also added the stats at the end of the main page. Changed the recent comments into displaying less words. The header is alternating images now, just a little nice tweak so the site will be more interactive. Oh and upgraded WP to the latest version 1.01
