First let me start by saying that this weekend was awesome! For many reasons…

I went back to Sagnasty for the weekend to play my tennis tourney and see my friends and family. When my friends knew I was coming down, they all got together and threw a pizza-movie night which was cool. My sister cooked some really good food and I was shocked howmuch my neice and nephew misses me. They were fighting over who would get me a glass of water :)

Tourney time.. AKA the Champ is BACK!

It was an awesome tourney close and tough! My first match was against a Bay City western coach. Who I started by beating him 6-0 , 3-6, 6-4. The match lasted exactly 2 hours. I was so beat and tired..

Then I played against a Swiss exchange student who I made him run like there is no tomorrow, I beat him 6-2, 7-5. After we were done he came and he was like ” Man you made me run a lot”

Final match, As most of you know I don’t have a very good record when it comes to playing against older people. The finalist was about 45 and oh man does he play good tennis or should I say CLEAN as in NO misses. He beat me 3-6 the first set, then I took over 6-4-6-2. The guy was barely moving in the third set because of howmuch running I made him go through. It feels good to defend your title.
Unfortunately the trophies were not ready yet, so I will get mine next tourney.

I also played doubles with Tyler and ended up with a medal for third place.
It’s always good to start the first tournament strong, 9 more to go ;)
If you want to check out the tourney times and prizes check this out. See who is the star on that brochure too ;)

Tennis and Life  View/Post Comments (2)

Andre Agassi was asked this question, what’s the parallel between tennis and life?

Problem solving, being out there on your own, your not sure if you’re gonna get through or not. Testing your own beliefs , having questions and having to get your own answers. There is no point more important than the next, the more time you spend on the last point, the less chance your giving yourself for the next one.

This is so true and beautiful, that’s why Agassi is my ideal player. Hopefully I can apply his theory this weekend at the tennis tourney at SVSU.

DK dirt general 16

My buddy wanted to buy a bike so we were at the bike shop. While he was looking around I started looking at the BMX bikes. You know back in the day of high school they used to rule! So I was asking the guy at the shop how much they go for nowadays. He goes it depends.. then he goes if you really want a bike you should check out the open house down the road, they are giving free bikes and stuff.. I told my buddy lets go and win a bike, He started laughing. So we went and as my buddy says its a small town, so I was like if I win this bike then I’ll agree its small ! We went there and put our names for some Oakley glasses and stuff. There were quite a few names in the drawings at least 50 or so. It was an open house for an eye glass store.

I get a call on Friday saying come and claim your prize the BIKE. DK General 16″. I was like WOW. I looked at how much this bad boy goes for and its 200$ bike .

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for me. However, if you look at the important dates on the right sidebar, you can tell that I got a couple of tennis tournaments coming up. My buddy and I went biking 2 days in a row. Today we did hills about 12 miles. I gotta get back in shape for the tournaments. The thing is , I havent played tennis since like 3 weeks. So it’s going to be interesting.

The move is done. I have to start by saying I have the best friends in the world!

We picked up the UHAUL at 8 from Midland and drove home, picked up some bagels from Big Apple. Got a nice breakfast and then started loading stuff to the UhAUL at 9. We were done at 10:45. So We took off to Alpena, got there around 1. We unloaded the stuff in about 1 hour and 30 mins. We were busting ass, got done. The cable guy was in the neigborhood so he enabled the cable and said you need cable modem to get internet duh. So we went to Walmart got that and hooked up the internet. Both TV and Internet on the same move day!!! Wow. We had dinner and my friends took off. Let the unpacking process begin! All I have to say is Good Friends are always there for you so cherish them!

Packing  View/Post Comments (4)

I came to a conclusion that I hate packing. I got like 20 boxes and lots of crap around the house that needs to be moved. The good news is I found a car to finance “Mazda 3″. Now I gotta get going on my packing. I don’t know if I like doing things at the last minute or I just always like challenging myself :).. Oh well my car broke down at the worst time.. its all about time management I guess..
