What a movie!
The true story of Ray Charles portrayed by Jamie Fox. He did a great job playing his role. I’ve never seen Jamie Fox that good before. The movie goes on the life of Ray how he went blind at the age of seven and still got out there and did his thing.

The movie is touching and entertaining. Specially if you are a Ray fan. Good movie I give it an A

Spammers  View/Post Comments (7)

Recently my site has been hit by a spammer, so in order to take care of business I have deployed a script kitten Spam words this puts the comment in a queue if it has suspicious words. I’m still configuring a couple of scripts to add them. Don’t you love to hate spammers! If you’re comment doesn’t post automatically for any reason then it probably went to the queue. I’ll make sure to approve that as soon as I can.

PM Delivers  View/Post Comments (5)

The project manager gets it done and he delivers.

So we had to do the presentation on Wednesday, I was in the lab and my friend came in and he was like you would never believe it, I was like what’s going on? He’s like the server is down, Hint” where we have our site”. I was like you gotta be kidding me right? He’s like No IT”S DOWN. So the teacher came in and my friend went and talked with him, the professor was like “sounds like it’s a PM issue”. I heard that in the back, I was like hmm I gotta show him what PM I AM.

So I transferred the whole site to my own server at SVSU and changed all the paths to all the files and all the images. In about 15 min I got it all set up. I told the group and they were like you’re the man. So we went to present and I started the presentation by the following quote” Just to give you guys a little heads up, the server went down in which our site is connected to and to show you and our customers out there how fast and efficient our company is we transferred the site to a different server in 15 min and got everything functional like nothing happens, Ladies and Gentlemen I introduce to you the Great Lakes Web Solutions Team” and my team took it from there. It feels good to provide solutions under pressure.

Van Helsing  View/Post Comments (6)

I’ve seen so much previews on this that I decided I wanted to see it, cause I’m a sci-fi movie fan. The story revolves around Van Helsing who has to destroy the Dracula.

There are some nice special effects used on the wolves in this movie. I thought they were pretty slick. Overall it’s not a great movie it’s fun to watch while you’re folding your laundery clothes or multi-tasking.
I give it a B-.

It’s already fall; leaves are falling of the trees, leaves are turning yellow and pale. You can sense the cold weather coming with force. It’s been gloomy out and muggy and cloudy. Fall here I am waiting for you to be over! I like to do things outdoor but the chances are diminishing now. Oh well it gives me more time to work on my projects.

Scary Yet True  View/Post Comments (5)

Have you ever heard of undercover advertising?

Today in class the Professor was discussing that and he showed us a clip that explains more about the topic. Let me tell you it’s pretty damn disgusting.
Here’s how it works, some companies, small and big will hire people from all ages depending on their product audience, the way they market is they give the product to those individuals that they hire and send them to crowded public places like coffee shops.

They use their product in front of the public for instance; Sony advertised their camera phone through giving it to a good looking couple. This couple would go to the crowded streets and pretend that they are tourists so they ask all those rich/ business men that are walking on their way to work, they ask them to take a picture of them and ask the people isn’t this cool phone? If the people like it the couple would ask them for their email address of which they will send them the information of the product. In other words, deception is the key for this advertising, instead of coming on the customer as a salesman or advertiser they deceive him/her to like their products without putting pressure on the customer to buy the product or not.

What do you think of this kind of advertising?
I think it’s very deceptive and just make me trust no one out there.
here’s the proof

Taco Bell Story  View/Post Comments (14)

Posted on October 14th, 2004. About General, Thoughts.

My buddy and I usually go to Taco Bell everyone once in a while after our late 10 pm class. You gotta grab something to eat after 6 hours of class. Anyways there’s this old lady, well not too old about 45 working at the cashiers of Taco Bell every time we go there. The first time we went there she was all smiling and stuff we figured she’s excited to be there or somthing. What the hell right, so I go and order some tacos, she types something wrong on the order, and then she goes don’t worry about it. I asked her if I need to pay for that she’s like no; I was like ok. So I got a free burrito. So my friend gets his order and he goes dude she was totally checking you out I was like dude she’s old, gross. Today went to taco again and she gave me a free pop and free taco because of another mistake she made? Hmm riiight! I was like ok. She asked my friend is your buddy always that serious. I started laughing my ass off. I was scared of giving her any leads or you know some sort of signs that I’m interested in which in this case I’m not. So I had the serious face on.

Oh well I guess I either attract old ladies or she is too damn dumb, what do you know!
