Mackinac Island  View/Post Comments (5)

I always wanted to see Mackinac Island; and go up north to see what’s it like. It was pretty nice; you feel like you went to a different state. It’s kind of like Frankenmuth but not really. Chocolate Fudge places are all over and Ice cream places. It’s so relaxing though, since it is surrounded by water, blue crystal clean water that is. We went on the mackinaw bridge which is currently the third longest suspension bridge in the world, 5 miles. After we drove on the bridge we got to the end and yup we had to pay 2.50 $ to get out of the bridge into Saint Ignace. Basically to just drive on the bridge it costs you 5 bucks, what a rip off? I know they need to maintain the bridge but I mean come on :) !

The whole island is about 8 miles, oh and it smells like horseshit. We rode the bikes along the shoreline all across the island and we went the 8 miles it was a pretty nice scene; biking across the water and the beautiful nature. We went to the point lookout which is pretty high, we took some shortcuts to get there since it was very hilly but it was worth it. Overall it was a good short vacation before the school kicks in.

One Week  View/Post Comments (7)

One last week before the school starts! The semester kicks in on the 30th of this month. Am I excited? How about NO! But I want it to start because and here’s the irony I wanted to end. If it doesn’t start it’s not gonna end soon. I want to be done with my masters. Hopefully two more semesters left . The summer went so fast didn’t even feel like there was a summer. The weather was all cold most of the summer but at the end started to be nice. I never recall myself saying man it’s too hot today. Rather man it’s cool out here! Oh well can’t control the weather so enough about that. I did enjoy tennis and biking this summer; it’s such a great work out. I have to say the inspiration comes from the man himself Lance Armstrong! He is such a fighter; that is becoming my ideal!

I’m taking a shit load of classes this semester because like I mentioned above I want to be done. The thing that I’m looking forward for now is the tennis tournament that starts on Labor Day! I hope you guys had a great summer! Cherish the time you have!

I signed up for another tournament for the B+ division but yet again they bumped me to the A. Anyways the first match I played was against a dude that ranks about 4.5 ; which is pretty darn good. The match lasted 2:45 min, people were like man that was a marathon. I lost but I played good. The first set was 5-7 then 6-3 the 4-6. It could’ve gone either way. Then the guy,Trent, asked me if I would like to be his doubles partner. I was like sure why not. We played in the doubles and we got to the finals. We faced the SVSU coach,Mike, and Ryan, It was a great match lasted 2 hours. The score was 5-7, 7-6-4-6. We were ahead the first set 5-2 and they came back to beat us 7-5. The funny thing is we did the same in the second set, only to beat them in the tie-breaker. Finally I faced Ryan in the singles consolation finals and lost to him. Overall it was a good tournament. I played good for the most part. However, I need to work on my mental game now.

Jump Rope  View/Post Comments (3)

After reading in a tennis magazine how important jump rope is for tennis players. I have decided to get one and start jump roping everyday. It’s good for your cardio and your calves. It keeps your legs in shape and ready for immediate explosion on the tennis courts. It also helps out your speed and resistance to all the movements you face on the courts.

Don’t wish for it, work for it!

Starsky & Hutch  View/Post Comments (3)

Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson are hilarious end of story. However the movie story line wasn’t that great.
The story goes around 2 cops Starsky and Hutch trying to stop some drug dealer. The funniest part of the movie is the ” DO IT” part. You’ll laugh your ass off.

I expected this movie to be funnier. You’ll get some laughs from time to time. I wouldn’t say it’s bad but I would give it a B+.

I bought a new digital camera recently. Since I’m getting involved in photography more and more; I decided that I need a portable/effective camera. I got the new Sony Cybershot 5.1 megapixels.

I took some random pictures with it. Check them out and let me know what you think ?
