We spend so much time investing in our talks and thinking about the things we are going to say so hard; that when it gets time for us to listen to other people talk we think its a “rest break” for the mind. In otherwords; it’s called passive listening. The only way we can learn from others is if we put the same amount of energy for listening as for talking .

I read this in a book today and thought that I need to work on that myself. I tend to have selective attention sometimes. Seeking perfection to achieve excellence is what I shoot for!
