Twitterizing!
What do you think of the new fad twitter? Everyone seems to be using twitter these days and it seems that it’s getting more and more embedded in our lifestyle.
The other day I was paying my bill at a clothe store and I noticed on the credit card machine a link to find us on twitter or Facebook. I see that very interesting on how quickly twitter became a strong communication tool between people and next generation kids. I think personally utilities like twitter and all going to take over the world of communication and advertising very quickly. I think vendors will be builting twitter into their products. For example how Ipods integrates with cars now. I believe you will see the same thing with most vendors down the road. Why not a way to twitter right from your fridge? A touchpad that brings a keyboard and you can twitter right from there?
endless possibilities I say! What do you think?

A lot of TV shows are now Twittering live as well.
I think we are quite a ways off from having mainstream Internet access on appliances though. There are models where you can get it now, but I don’t see it being popular for another 5 years or so.

Twitter, like many of the newer and popular social media channels, is very effective. Twitter really allows us all to communicate with one another in an SMS-like format. As a result, it forces each of us to keep it short and sweet. This prevents long, unexciting ramblings. At the same time, this channel (Twitter) allows creativity and linking, so your “followers” can read more on your blog, site, or other source by using the links!
Tamar Weinberg outlines in her book, The New Community Rules: Marketing on the Social Web, that the thought leader is “an individual whose knowledge and expertise has positioned him as an expert among his peers” (p. 28). Luckily and thankfully, many experts roam on Twitter, and this is a great fact to know. If I need to find an expert on something quickly and easily, Twitter is the place for me!
How long will it reign supreme? Time shall tell, but I do not see it going away anytime soon!
